Popular Questions
How much does a nitrogen generator cost?
The price range for a nitrogen generator can range from $25,000 to $400,000 depending on the scope of the application.
What is the return on investment (ROI)?
In most cases, less than 24 months vs. a traditional source of industrial gas.
Can our units be installed outdoors?
We have many units installed and operating outdoors. However, we must consider ambient conditions during the scope and the design phase. Some of the conditions we take into consideration are altitude and ambient temperature. Once the scope of the project has been defined, our product engineering team will make recommendations.
Will Liberty Systems ship the orders (freight-shipping arrangements)?
You keep full control over routing and cost. Liberty Systems provides everything needed to book the load: weights, dimensions, piece count, and handling requirements.
What happens if the product I received is damaged?
We will assess the damage, if it is cosmetic, we will put the system into operation and make any necessary repairs at the soonest date possible.
How loud is the equipment when it’s running?
Nitrogen PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) and dehydration units are generally less than 88 db during the exhaust phase. This exhaust level is reached for about one- or two-seconds during switch over. We do have provisions designed into our systems that allow plumbing of the exhaust away to reduce the decibel level.
Can I install black iron pipe to interconnect the system components or to supply nitrogen gas or clean dry air to my application?
No. Consult with your Liberty Sales Engineer for more detail.
What purity of Nitrogen do you need?
Nitrogen purity requirements fall into different ranges based on the application or desired outcome. Choosing a purity higher than your application requires can increase operating costs by reducing nitrogen production efficiency. Liberty Systems works with customers to determine the optimal purity that delivers the required performance while maximizing flow rate and minimizing operating costs. To learn more refer to our Guide to Nitrogen Purity.
What is FilterStar?
FilterStar encompasses our service agreements and courtesy maintenance reminders. If you choose to perform preventive maintenance on your own, or you prefer to order service parts as needed, Liberty systems will send a courtesy message to you, reminding you of the items needed and when equipment service is due.
What is Nitro Force?
Nitro Force® is Liberty Systems’ line of on-site nitrogen generation systems designed to produce high-purity nitrogen from compressed air. Instead of relying on delivered nitrogen cylinders, liquid nitrogen, or bulk storage tanks, Nitro Force® generates nitrogen on demand—whenever and wherever you need it.
Our systems use either Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) or membrane technology to separate nitrogen from compressed air, delivering a continuous, reliable supply of nitrogen at the purity and flow rate required for your application.
NitroForce systems help manufacturers:
- Eliminate nitrogen delivery schedules and rental fees.
- Reduce operating costs and improve return on investment.
- Ensure a continuous, reliable supply of nitrogen.
- Improve workplace safety by eliminating high-pressure cylinders and reducing bulk storage requirements.
- Gain greater control over nitrogen purity and production.
Whether you’re laser cutting, manufacturing, food packaging, electronics, or operating another industrial process, Nitro Force® provides a cost-effective and dependable source of on-site nitrogen tailored to your specific application.
How long does the molecular sieve last? How long does the system last?
We have nitrogen generation systems operational that are nearing the twenty-year mark. The life of the system is dependent on how well it is maintained. We have an expected GN2 system end-of-life of 10+ years.
What does my warranty cover?
Liberty Systems backs every system with one of the strongest warranties in the industry. Every system includes a standard warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, with extended 2- and 3-year options available on select series. Coverage depends on series and routine preventive maintenance. Your Sales Engineer can confirm what applies to yours.
Which N2 generating technology is better PSA / Membrane?
This depends entirely on the application, flow rate required, and the needed purity. To learn more refer to our Guide to Nitrogen Purity.
How do I buy an N2 Generator?
Please contact Liberty Systems and a Sales Engineer will help guide you through the process.

"Partnering with Liberty Systems wasn't just about savings — it was about control, reliability and positioning Dishaka for the next chapter of growth. The cost savings met our projections, but the operational freedom was transformative. Onsite nitrogen is now simply part of our facility infrastructure, like electricity or water — which frees our team to focus on what we do best."
